My own educational experience is from playing piano and woodwind at school [recorder and oboe]; saxophones and percussion in college and beyond. I have Oboe and Piano Grade 8, both with distinction; Music degree from York University and MA and PhD in World Music studies at Sheffield University.
I have wide experience in instrumental teaching, community and creative music workshop leading. My current teaching includes weekly classes at the City Lit Institute, London, in musicianship, saxophone, piano and world music. I also run workshops in Klezmer, Bollywood, Ghanaian and Samba music, arranging and devising performance pieces for groups of various sizes and abilities.
